While at Tucker’s memorial event at South Beach Grill last week I was talking to a few of the crew members about how fortunate we were to have been able to be a key part of Worrell Brothers. It was the hottest club at the oceanfront in the 80’s. I remember just turning 21 and trying to get in that night. It was 10pm and I was two hours away from 21. They would not let me in…. so my friends and I came back two hours later and he let us in for no cost. Wow… what an experience my first time!
Two years later I was waiting tables in WBs and engaged in the amazing friendships, financial benefits, crazy stories, and meeting amazing people! A year later I took over waiting the main section in the disco and was able to pay my way through college due to the Sunday Dime Time and my regular customers in 7 of my 8 tables. Hustled to get 4 rounds out in an hour with approximately 60 drinks (and beer on a smaller tray on top!) each round. Times were fun, people were cool, money was great, and the relationships I made there lasted a lifetime! Thanks to Chris, Leroy, Jimmy, Tucker, Tyler, and all the crew members who made this an incredible experience for all of us who were fortunate enough to be a part of it!
